The Williams Art Vista curriculum is dedicated to exposing our students to some of the great artists. Each grade level is presented with either 3 or 4 famous artists over the school year. There is a brief biographical presentation followed by a hands-on art project inspired in some way by the profiled artist. All the materials are provided. The presentations and art project require about 1½ hours, which the volunteer schedules with the teacher. Having two volunteers per class is ideal. The students are exposed to the five key elements of art, as well as learning to distinguish between famous artists and painting styles. At the end of the year there is an art show event – A Splash of Art and Music. This art show displays the wonderful, creative works the students accomplish through the Art Vista Program.
